Role Summary

We're looking for a QA Engineer to join our testing team and work across a range of client products. You'll be doing hands-on client work from day one, not a sandbox project, alongside a small team that actually reviews your work and gives direct feedback.

This is a hands-on testing role, not a "write test plans and hand them off" role. You'll be the person actually clicking through the product, trying to break it, and writing up exactly what happened so a developer can fix it fast.

What a typical week looks like

  • Exploratory testing on a new feature before it ships
  • Writing and running structured test cases against a requirements doc
  • Filing bug reports with clear steps, screenshots, and expected vs. actual behavior
  • Retesting fixes and confirming nothing else broke

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute exploratory and scripted testing across web and mobile client products
  • Write clear, reproducible bug reports that developers can act on without back-and-forth
  • Design test cases from requirements and user stories
  • Run cross-browser and cross-device checks before releases go out
  • Flag usability and accessibility issues, not just functional bugs

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of hands-on manual QA experience
  • Comfortable reading requirements and turning them into test cases
  • Clear written communication, since most of this job is describing what's broken so someone else can fix it
  • A reliable laptop and a stable internet connection, since this is a remote role and dropped calls or missed handoffs cost the whole team time
  • Able to work core hours that overlap with WAT (Lagos time)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to a test management tool like TestRail or Zephyr
  • Basic familiarity with automation tooling (Playwright, Selenium), even if you haven't written a full suite
